Everything you need to pick the right size, and what to do if you get it wrong anyway.
Ring sizes
Our ring sizes carry two things: a letter, which is the British size, and a number in brackets, which is the inside circumference of the ring in millimetres. The number is the one that decides the fit.

Treat these as a guide rather than a promise to the millimetre. A fraction either way is normal, and the same size feels different on a wide band than on a fine one. If a size turns out wrong, the exchange at the bottom of this page is there for exactly that.
How to measure at home
- Cut a strip of paper about 1 cm wide and 10 cm long.
- Wrap it around the base of the finger you want to wear the ring on. Snug, but loose enough that it still slides over your knuckle.
- Mark where the strip overlaps, lay it flat and measure the length in millimetres.
- That number is your size. 54 mm means you want N (54).
A few things worth knowing
- Fingers are at their largest at the end of the day and in warm weather, and at their smallest first thing in the morning and when you are cold. Measure in the afternoon.
- A wide band sits tighter than a fine one. If you are ordering a chunky ring, go up one size.
- If you land between two sizes, take the larger one. A ring that will not pass the knuckle is no use to anyone.
- If your knuckle is noticeably wider than the base of your finger, measure the knuckle instead and take the closest size up.
Adjustable pieces
Some rings and bangles are made to be opened slightly and shaped to your finger or wrist. Those say one size or adjustable on the product page, either in the size options or in the description, and no measuring is needed.
Necklaces and bracelets
Where a piece comes in more than one length, the length is shown on the product page. If a length is not listed and you would like to know it before you order, email support@sollaine.com and we will ask our supplier and come back to you.
To measure yourself, wrap a tape measure or a strip of paper around your wrist just below the wrist bone and add 1 to 2 cm for comfort. For a necklace, measure around your neck at the height you want the chain to sit.
